New Philippine Passport (Machine Readdable
Passport)
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will now start issuing a
new passport by September with more security features. This is now
called the Machine Readable Passport of MRP, it uses heat sealed machines
to conforms the standard of International Civil Aviation Organization
The old passport only uses a cold pressure process-sensitive lamination
system, which is not so protected against the forgeries. While the
new lamination process, when lifted from the data page, it will easily
be broken. Heat sealed system will add more security and authenticity
of the passport and it was already using by many other countries.

Be warned that although they're licensed, it doesn't mean they're
truthful. They'll fullfill POEAs requirements but some of them may
cheat applicant by collecting overcharging processing fee and will
just issue receipt lower than what your've paid. First time applicant's
could be the nearest and quickiest possible victim...so always visit
POEA website...and other Overseas Work related sites.
