Subject: Normal ba sa isang manning agency na maningil sa applicante ng processing fee and fare back and fort for a sailor?
in http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=244

"Normal ba sa isang manning agency na maningil sa applicante ng processing fee and fare back and fort for a sailor? either passenger or cargo ship? Pero ang sabi ng POEA sa no. 5 of 10 way to avoid illegal recruitment "DO NOT PAY MORE THAN ALLOWED PLACEMENT FEE. iT SHOULD BE EQUIVALENT TO ONE MONTH SALARY, EXCLUSIVE FOR DOCUMENTATION AND PROCESSING COST. AND THE AGENCY HAVE GOOD IN RECORD AS WHAT I READ THE STATUS IN POEA. guys i need your opinion and i hope poea read this message. - Guest"

Answer 1 -

Post subject: MAGANDA BA ANG BUHAY OFW SA MALAYSIA ?
http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=243

"NAG AAPLAY AKO SA MALAYSIA AS FACTORY ,NAKAGASTOS AKO ABOUT 60,000 SA INAPPLAYAN KONG AGENCY MALAKI BA TALAGA ANG PLACEMENT FEE SA MALAYSIA-
Guest Stranger"

Answer 1 -

- Guess Me

Post subject: migrate to canada
http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=186

"Good day! I would like to ask lang po if anyone here knows or can recommend a reliable agency or consulting services on how to migrate to canada. I'm planning to migrate with my family. Hoping that you could help me. Thank you! - JC"

Answer 1 -

hi, Actually, you don't need to seek consultants help if the required documents are all complete. Visit the Canadian Immigration website first and read the required papers for migration,if it's Skilled Migration, Family or Business migration. address is www.cic.gc.ca then go to SkilledWorkers menu link.

You need to find the country on where you are currently residing or where you want to send your application. So, kung nasa Pinas ka, read the required documents by Canada Embassy in Phils.

Make sure, authenticated or genuine ang mga documents kasi kung mga fake yan, it can be traced by the canada immigrant officers lalo na sa Phils medyo mahigpit sila kaya matagal ang processo.

Consultants is like a recruitment agency. Just assisting you but not actually giving you big chance to make your application approve. Goodluck!" - Concerned

Post subject: Anong pwedeng gawin kapag bigla kng pinauwi?
in http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=187

- Seagull_12"

Answer 1 -

And then, about the place ment fee, ang alam ko pwede rin yung i-re-imburse please ask assistance from POEA.

- Concerned Guest

Post subject: no job order and holding of passport
in http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=166

"Hay, nag apply ako sa isang agency for factory worker sa taiwan at pasado naman ako sa interview at exam nila, then nung briefing na, sinabi na hindi pa alam kung ilan ang mageexam at tatanungin pa sa employer, diba ibig sabihin nyun eh wala pang job order? tapos yung passport namin na sa kanila at hindi daw pwede na kunin kailangan matapos muna lahat... ok lang ba 'to or may mali dito....? salamat - fsecretario"

Answer 1 -

So, yung interview mo and exam was only conducted by the agency?

in http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=145

"Attention POEA or Kung Sino Mang Concerned, Recently, I was in Malaysia when I met several Pinoy who were a victim of illegal recruitment from Zamboanga, these people has paid almost 50thousand and up but no any job offer, so these poor people will just be back in Phils without any money on their pocket...please check these irregularities...Kim"

Answer 1 -

Dear Kim, Please ask the victims to visit the Philippine Embassy at 1 Changkat Kia Peng, 50450 KL to file their complaint, so that it can be brought to the attention of the newly-created Anti-Illegal Recruitment Task Force. Philembassykl

Answer 2 -

to all my kababayan, You may also seek assistance from our Phil Embassy here in Brunei, just recently they helped some young Filipinas who were victim of illegal recruitment in Labuan Malaysia. I've also met several Pinoys who are supposed to be recruited for other destination like Italy or Japan but ended up here penniless (initially sent to Labuan first or KK daw) then bec. Brunei is just an hour away they're running all here and was given a 14 day visit visa , so they're looking for employment while on a 14 days visit without visa here in Brunei. Re: agency na ito for taiwan, asking fee for 80 - 100 thousand!

"GOOD DAY! ISANG PO AKONG OFW GALING NG TAIWAN. GUSTONG KO PONG BUMALIK ULIT, PERO ANG PROBLEMA NAPAKALAKI NG PLACEMENT FEE NA SINISINGIL SA AMIN.MINSAN MAY 100 THOUSAND,80 THOU. PAG HINDI MAGANDA ANG COMPANY YUN MABABA ANG HINIHINGI NILA. HINDI PO BA ANG SABI NINYO AY DAPAT KATUMBAS LANG ISANG BUWANG SAHOD ANG PLACEMENT FEE. BAKIT HINDI KAYANG HULIHIN ITO POEA. KAHIT MAG PANGGAP KA LANG NA APLIKANTE MAHUHULI MUNA. ANG KATUWIRAN NILA KAYA MALAKI KASI MAY PATONG NA RIN ANG BROKER. - OFW SA TaIWAN"

Answer 1 -

Check agency here if illegal sa POEA website at http://www.poea.gov.ph/cgi-bin/agSearch.asp .

Do you know kahit ang licensed agency, nangloloko pa rin?

Post subject: What does an agent really do ?
in http://www.ofw-connect.com/OFWForum/viewtopic.php?t=35

- Sally"

Answer 1 -

Travel agent, job placement agent or any other kinds of agent relating to travel or working overseas has diffrent roles and characteristics.

There's a fake agent, there's an authorized agent but still performs irregularities, there's unauthorized agent but don't do irregularities and there's an authorized agent who is really true to their service.

Now why and how much should we pay for their service and do we really need to pay their service or acquire their service?

Those authorized agent by POEA, the total amount that we need to pay for their service should only be equal to ONE MONTH salary that you'll be receiving for the job that was offered to you... That service fee is for them because they helped you find a job or do misc things regarding your work overseas...actually they don't only receive payment from you, if the employer overseas place job ads on their agency here in Phils, the employer needs to pay them, that's why they have TWO source of incomes so it's not appropriate and justified to ask too much service fee from the applicant

Another kind of agent is those who don't have a license, in short they operate as a normal business person...who only helps you to get out of the country but don't actually offer you a JOB... First kind is those who acts as your Authorized person to do all things for you such as Passport Application, Visa Application etc etc, which is actually can do by your OWN self...if you need to pay them too much, you should be careful because if you landed in other country without a prospective employer...you'll be in trouble!

Other kind is those who really helps you, sometimes they lend you money...if an agent lends you money even they don't offer you a job (normally you'll get out of the country as Tourist)...you shouldn't worry too much...If this is the situation normally they have contacts in the country where they're sending you...Visa matters is taken care by someone overseas and even helps you find a job... Take note that immigration officers will not harm you as long that you hold valid Passport, VISA or Permit, if they found out that you don't hold any of these or failed any one of these, you'll be in trouble too.

Other kind of this type of agent are those who don't have SOUL anymore, they asked overkill charges, process your papers etc but on the day of your travel you find out that it's ALL FAKE documents!

But how about those authorized agent but incures TOO MUCH placement fee? They're the second SOUL LESS agent, I know someone who been into these, he paid too much and even he has all his salary for TWO years working overseas, he can't be able to pay the OVERKILL placement fee! - Concerned
